Every DINOSTY FOSSILS ammonite, fossil, and Ammolite specimen is finished by hand. Each piece is individually selected and carefully prepared to reveal its natural colours, patterns, and detail—whether that means a high-gloss display polish, a more natural museum-style finish, or preservation-focused stabilization for long-term care. We stand behind our work because it’s done with precision, patience, and respect for the specimen.

From our beginnings as a small Canadian fossil team, DINOSTY FOSSILS has grown through hands-on mining, preparation, and sourcing—focusing on rare Southern Alberta ammonites and unique fossils of all kinds. We ethically recover and prepare specimens for collectors, decorators, and museums around the world—people who value authenticity, rarity, and the kind of natural beauty you simply can’t replicate.

The rare & beautiful Ammolite

Ammolite is a natural gemstone born from ancient ammonite shell—an iridescent fossil material found almost exclusively in Southern Alberta. In 1981, Ammolite was officially recognized as a gemstone by the World Jewellery Confederation (CIBJO), placing it among the rarest modern additions to the global gem family.

At DINOSTY FOSSILS, we work with genuine Canadian Ammolite and ammonite fossils—selecting specimens for their natural colour, pattern, and integrity—so collectors can own a piece of Canadian prehistory with confidence.
